Join our Business Operations team as a Fiscal Services operations intern in Milan. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in fiscal and tax-related activities within a leading European post-trade services provider. You will be part of a dynamic, multicultural environment, supporting international operations and learning from experienced professionals.

You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Supporting the accurate and timely processing of fiscal and tax-related activities, including foreign tax transactions, withholding tax, tax relief at source and tax reclaims, in line with market rules and internal procedures.
  • Assisting with the preparation and execution of tax reclaims requested by clients, ensuring all documentation and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Helping to maintain up-to-date records of fiscal documentation, filings and correspondence in relevant systems and databases.
  • Monitoring and processing incoming fiscal documentation, ensuring completeness and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with tax authorities, custodians and internal teams to resolve operational fiscal issues and ensure timely completion of processes.
  • Supporting the daily maintenance and update of fiscal and tax-related data in internal systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports and reconciliations for fiscal processes and audits.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of fiscal service operations procedures and controls.

Your profile

  • You are currently studying for or have recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business management, finance or a related field.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to learn about complex operational and regulatory matters.
  • Proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Italian and/or other European languages is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Job Description

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join the Data & Automation team. The position will be based in Milan. You will report to the Head of Data & Automation.

You will be mainly responsible for supporting day-to-day data analysis and data management activities. Utilising analytics and technical skills to assist in building and maintaining data solutions to address business problems. Helping ensure the quality of data communicated to clients and engage in initiatives to implement relevant analysis contents.

Key accountabilities

  • Assist in data engineering initiatives, including designing and deploying Big Data products.

  • Help design, build, and enhance data platforms and applications to support business needs.

  • Support the development and maintenance of real-time software and services for trading platforms.

  • Contribute ideas on tools and frameworks to help define target solutions.

  • Provide support in task estimation and tool development.

  • Assist in producing documentation and training teams to use delivered software.

  • Assist in building systems and processes to transform raw data into business insights.

  • Produce accurate reports for relevant business units.

Your profile

  • Tracking all queries and responses through the selected CRM tool
