Female Tech Heroes openen de handelsdag

Het Female Tech Heroes Netwerk kijkt terug op een geslaagde lancering. Om dit te vieren openen initiatiefnemers Hilde de Vocht en Ingelou Stol de handelsdag, samen met hun ambassadeurs.

Female Tech Heroes

Female Tech Heroes is een initiatief van High Tech Campus Eindhoven om meer vrouwen enthousiast te maken voor techniek.

Hilde de Vocht & Ingelou Stol: ‘Het aantal vrouwen dat in de techniek werkt is erg laag. We werken in een omgeving die gedomineerd wordt door mannen en we hebben meer vrouwen nodig. Diversiteit is de sleutel tot succes. Met Female Tech Heroes gaan we o.a. meer rolmodellen creëren, om zo vrouwen te inspireren hoe ontzettend gaaf het is om te werken in de techniek.’ Op 21 mei is het Female Tech Heroes Netwerk officieel gelanceerd door ambassadeur Neelie Kroes. De komende jaren zal het platform verder internationaal worden uitgebreid.

BECH start productie groen gas

Waterschap Vallei en Veluwe en Jan Bakker hebben samen de Bio Energie Centrale Harderwijk (BECH) geïnitieerd en opgezet.  Door BECH wordt er jaarlijks 8 miljoen m3 groengas geproduceerd. AFS Energy heeft voor BECH bemiddeld bij het afsluiten van de Gas Purchase Agreement met Essent waarmee de verkoop van het groen gas is verzekerd voor de komende jaren. Met een gongslag openen Bert van Vreeswijk, Heemraad waterschap Vallei en Veluwe, en Jan Bakker, aandeelhouders van de BECH, de Amsterdamse beurs.

Groen gas als duurzaam alternatief

Groen gas wordt geproduceerd uit de vergisting van onder andere mest. Dit vermindert het mestoverschot en biedt een duurzaam alternatief voor aardgas. AFS Energy heeft als bemiddelaar een bijdrage geleverd aan de totstandkoming van de GPA, welke is afgesloten met Essent. Hiermee dragen alle betrokken partijen bij aan de energietransitie in Nederland.

W.P. Stewart Holdings Fund viert 30-jarig bestaan

Het W.P. Stewart Holdings Fund (‘WPSH’) bestaat sinds 1989 en ter ere hiervan luidt fondsmanager Jim Tierney de gong.

Het op Euronext Amsterdam genoteerde beleggingsfonds belegt in een portefeuille van circa 20 Amerikaanse groeibedrijven. 2013 maakt WPSH onderdeel uit van de beleggingsproducten van AllianceBernstein.  

Jim Tierney en zijn team zijn eveneens verantwoordelijk voor de AB Concentrated US Equity Portfolio.

IPO Marel

Marel lists on Euronext Amsterdam and issues new shares

State Secretary for Social Affairs and Employment, Tamara van Ark sounds the gong together with Hans Sprong, cliënt of Philadephia.

It is also the starting signal for the National Prokkelstagedag: a day when thousands of people with an intellectual disability to do a traineeship at a company, a governmental or public organization.

Roparun sounds the gong

Roparun will start Saturday, June 8^th in Hamburg and Paris and finishes Whit Monday in Rotterdam. Bas Nijhuis, ambassador for Roparun sounds the gong accompanied by participants of team ING and team Deloitte.

About Roparun

The Roparun is a relay race of more than 500 kilometers from Paris and Hamburg to Rotterdam, in which people work as a team to give a combined sports performance in order to raise money for people who suffer from cancer. This year’s 28^th edition has 324 teams participating in this challenge.

Besides the physical challenge, the team must also make an effort to raise money for the cause. Teams do this by organizing various activities. The three teams who raise the most money are honored during the final celebration of the Roparun, which takes place a few weeks after the finish. Over the past twenty-seven editions of the Roparun, more than eighty-three million Euro has been raised.

World MS Day

The chairman of the board of the MS Vereniging Nederland, Jan van Amstel sounds the gong in honor of World MS day.

What is World MS Day?

World MS Day is a yearly international event on May 30^th, with the goal of creating awareness for the disease multiple sclerosis. During the entire month of May several events are organized to raise attention for MS. The theme this year is ‘Movement & Mobility’, which is why they are organizing mobility scooter, walking and cycling tours throughout the country for our members and other interested parties. Their activities are organized by the regional team of the MS Vereniging Nederland, who create an awareness of the association and its activities.

About the MS Vereniging Nederland

MS Vereniging Nederland is the only patient organization in The Netherlands for people who have multiple sclerosis (MS) and their loved ones. For its approximately 8,500 members the organization offers activities and services which assist these members with questions and concerns. MS Vereniging gives people with MS a voice by representing these people at health care providers, governments, and health insurers.  They also provide information sessions about the disease and life with MS in an effort to allow people to make choices in order to stay in control of their own life.

Vesteda opens trading day

Vesteda successfully issued its inaugural Green Bond. This is the second benchmark-size bond under its €2.5 billion EMTN program and the first EUR Green Bond by a residential fund. To mark the occasion Frits Vervoort, CFO, sounds the gong.

The proceeds of the bond will be used to finance homes with a minimum EPC label A, and homes which have made an improvement of at least two EPC label-steps up to a minimum EPC label C. Vesteda will report on the estimated energy savings and greenhouse gas emission avoidance of the assets under this green bond. The €500 million bonds have a term of 8 years and a coupon of 1.5%. The bond was more than 6 times oversubscribed. ABN AMRO (Green Bond Structuring Advisor), BNP Paribas, ING, Rabobank, and SMBC Nikko acted as Joint Bookrunners. The bond will be listed on Euronext Amsterdam.

Vesteda

Vesteda is an entrepreneurial investor with a clear focus on the Dutch residential real estate market. Vesteda invests funds for institutional investors such as pension funds and insurers. Vesteda has total capital of €7.3 billion invested in real estate. Its rental portfolio stands at a total of approx. 28,000 residential units.
