    Investments Director at Private bank Staalbankiers, Thijs van derKevie, sounds the gong to celebrate Staalbankiers’ getting three ‘Incompany awards’.

    Incompany 100 is the biggest independent customer satisfaction survey. Staalbankiers received no less than threeawards; Best Private Bank, Overall Satisfaction and Overall Reputation. Never in the eleven-year history of Incompany 100, has a Dutch organization scored as high as Staalbankiers did this year. Decision makers from small and large businesses participated in the survey and rewarded the bank with a 7.61 average.

    Think ETF’s celebrates fifth anniversary at Euronext Amsterdam

    By sounding the gong Gijs Koning, co-founder and managing director of Think ETF’s, celebrates the fifth anniversary of the first Think ETF’s which were listed on 14 December 2009 to make index investing more accessible to Dutch investors.

    At the launch in 2009, index investing was not very well known in the Netherlands, but times have changed and over the years more and more Dutch investors have adopted ETF’s in their investment portfolios. The Think AEX ETF is currently one of the most frequently traded Exchange Traded Funds listed on Euronext Amsterdam.

    Aeves, named the fastest growing company in the Netherlands, and winner of the FD Gazellen Award 2014 sounds the gong.

    The consultancy and interim office posted a whopping 1945% growth over the last three years. Aeves received the award from Jan Bonjer, editor of Het Financieele Dagblad. The FD Gazellen Award, which is organized for the eleventh time, is an initiative of newspaper the FD, credit rating agency Graydon, ABN AMRO and MAZARS Accountants and Tax Advisors.     Launch of Euronext Expert Market

    On 9 December 2014 Michel Mailly, Public Auction Officer, has rang the Closing Bell to celebrate the launch of the Euronext Expert Market in the presence of its new members.

    Euronext Expert Market is Euronext’s new secondary market (a Multilateral Trading Facility) that allows selling non-listed securities. It is the first one if its kind in Europe, organised by an Exchange.

    It originates from the Belgian Public Auction Market in existence since 1873.

    The fixing will take place every Tuesday at 12:00 for securities, bonds and other fixed income instruments and can be followed on the website of Euronext.

    The Ebola virus is destroying families in West Africa. Over 4000 children have lost one or both of their parents. The SOS Children’s Villages medical center is currently one of the few places where families and children can go for medical care.
     
    To prevent further contamination, SOS Children's Villages have set up emergency aid because of the lack of protective clothing, equipment and disinfectants. SOS Children's Villages cooperates with other international organizations. Eddy Guyt and Lisette Sier of 100% NL Magazine support the work of the international children's charity.     Representatives from State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) SPDR® ETFs team and from Euroclear Bank celebrate 13 SPDR® ETFs domiciliation on a unique platform in Ireland.

    SPDR ETFs had a number of exciting developments over 2014. They reached a milestone of $10 billion in asset under management in Europe earlier in the year and more recently announced a range of enhancements to their product platform. This included reducing fees across 15 core equity and fixed income ETFs, consolidating all funds onto a single UCITS platform and moving 13 funds onto a single, centralised settlement structure that will issue and settle via an international central securities depository (ICSD) through Euroclear Bank.

    Radio Veronica sounds gong to call attention to Big Veroniklaas-action

    Station Director Erik de Zwart of Radio Veronica, part of Euronext listed Telegraaf Media Groep, sounds the gong to call attention to the Big Veroniklaas-action.

    Together with the National Childrens Fund and the Friends Lottery, Radio Veronica raised money to provide children in the Netherlands who live poverty with a gift for Sinterklaas holiday.  Listeners were asked to make a donation and votes for the Top 1000 also yielded money. On 5 December, the cheque showing the total amount of money and gifts raised will be personally handed to Sinterklaas at the Veronica Ship in Amsterdam.

    The winner Viktor Smits from University KU Leuven of the Belgian Traders Trophy 2014-2015 rang the closing bell on Euronext Brussels on 3 December 2014.

    The Traders Trophy is a competition in trading of financial instruments for students worldwide. The Belgian final of the 4th edition of this competition took place in the stock exchange building. The trading simulations used for the Traders Trophy gives the participants the understanding of operating in a dealing room environment.

    The final students from different Belgian top universities have participated in this unique challenge for the title :  “Best Student Trader of Belgium for 2014-2015”.

    Lucille Werner sounds gong to mark International Day of People with Disability

    Television host Lucille Werner sounds the gong to mark International Day of People with Disability. On this day, the winners of the Business Walk of Fame are announced, a new initiative of the Lucille Werner Foundation.

    The Business Walk of Fame is a promenade of star-filled tiles, awarded to companies that are commited to an inclusive labor market. The Business Walk of Fame is located at the Zuidas in Amsterdam.     Ambassadors celebrate 30th anniversary Dutch Service Dog foundation

In connection with its 30th anniversary, the foundation is calling on individuals and organisations to help celebrate by organising as many fundraising activities as possible.

    The directors of Antares Foundation, Healthnet TPO, War Child, War Trauma Foundation and The Netherlands Mental Health Experts employed by UNHCR, UNICEF and WHO sound the gong to mark the importance of psychosocial support in emergencies.

    The efforts of the present collaboration of Dutch and International aid agencies is directed at assisting the millions of refugees by offering them the psychosocial support that they need. Emergency aid will become more efficient and attain more long-term targets if accompanied by psychosocial support. In order to elucidate this need, the above-mentioned organisations and Mental Health experts will meet on the 27th November 2014 during a round-table conference to speak to Dutch policy makers and members of the House of Commons.
