A special Gong ceremony was held this morning at Beursplein 5. This time, the opening of the new trading day was not primarily dedicated to Euronext Amsterdam, but to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). The South African exchange operator visited the Amsterdam Stock Exchange today as part of their European roadshow.
The Gong ceremony celebrated Euronext's accreditation on the JSE. This accreditation allows companies listed on Euronext easier access to the South African capital markets, promoting cross-border investment opportunities.
The gong was sounded by Patrycja Kula-Verster, Equity Origination Manager, and Maurice Madiba, Head of Primary Markets of Johannesburg Stock Exchange. The group was warmly welcomed by René van Vlerken, CEO at Euronext Amsterdam, and representatives of Euronext Amsterdam's Primary and Secondary Markets team.

BUX, owned by ABN AMRO Bank N.V., has partnered with capital markets technology firm PrimaryBid to extend the investment opportunities available to its retail customers. The partnership will provide new opportunities for retail investors in Belgium and the Netherlands to participate in IPOs and follow-ons including deals previously reserved only for institutional investors.
As PrimaryBid and Euronext have been in partnership for several years, this extension of the partnership represents a significant step forward in the joint ambition to promote a broader retail inclusion in the primary markets.
To celebrate the partnership, representatives of all three organisations were welcomed this morning for a traditional Gong ceremony. The group was welcomed by René van Vlerken, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam and Dirk Donker, Head of Secondary Markets Benelux & Germany.

ClimateLaunchPad is the world's largest competition for green businesses. This year, it guided more than 500 green companies from 42 countries worldwide, from idea to business plan.

Euronext expands its financial derivatives offering with the launch of new European Single Stock Options, providing market participants with broader trading opportunities.
New German options complement the pre-existing German listings, which have been successfully traded every day since 2019 on Euronext Amsterdam. Investors can now gain exposure to all constituents of the national DAX Index.
Euronext is also introducing the first Irish Options listed on Euronext Amsterdam, and new Portuguese Options on Euronext Lisbon, placing it as the only exchange to offer options on Portuguese stocks.
This expansion follows the successful completion of Euronext's markets migration to Euronext Clearing and strengthens Euronext's position in the derivatives market.

Euronext expands its financial derivatives offering with the launch of new European Single Stock Options, providing market participants with broader trading opportunities.

Alliander celebrates €500 million Green Hybrid Bond issuance
Alliander recently issued a bond worth €500 million. This Green Hybrid Bond, which has a perpetual duration, is listed on Euronext Amsterdam and was nearly six times oversubscribed at the time of issuance.

The company, in which Industrial Securities and Aegon both have stakes, is exploring opportunities to develop international operations.

Interest payment on perpetual bonds

Today, the district water board (in Dutch: Hoogheemraadschap) De Stichtse Rijnlanden paid out interest on two perpetual bonds, dating from 1638 and 1765 respectively.
The perpetual bonds were issued at the time by Utrecht's Lekdijk Bovendams district water board, the legal predecessor of De Stichtse Rijnlanden.
The interest bonds have long been part of the historical archive of the Amsterdam Stock Exchange thanks to the Amsterdam Capital Foundation, and are among the oldest known still-interest-bearing bonds in the world.
The trading day was opened by Jeroen Haan, Dijkgraaf of Hoogheemraadschap De Stichtse Rijnlanden in the presence of René van Vlerken, CEO at Euronext Amsterdam.
