Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon, London and Paris - April 26th,2012 - Today NYSE Euronext welcomed BTG Pactual, Brazil’s largest investment bank, to NYSE Alternext in Amsterdam. BTG Pactual (ticker code: BTGP) was admitted to trading on NYSE Alternext through admission of 90,000,000 European units. Each European unit represents one common share and two Series A preferred shares of Banco BTG Pactual S.A. in the form of Global Depositary Shares and one Class A voting common share and two Class B non-voting common shares of BTG Pactual Participations Ltd.
The admission is part of a global offering of European units and Brazilian units. The European units (and the underlying securities) are only open to qualified investors.
BTG Pactual is the largest independent investment bank in Latin America. The BTG group operates an investment bank, asset manager and wealth manager with a dominant franchise in Brazil. In addition, the group has established an international investment and distribution platform.
The issue price of BTG Pactual’s European units was set at € 12,60. Trading on NYSE Alternext opened at 3 PM CET to coincide as much as possible with the opening of trading of the Brazilian units on the São Paulo Stock Exchange around 10 AM BRT. Market capitalization stood at approx. € 11.26 billion at the start of trading.
