Flatex NL opens the trading day

The opening bell is hit by Jeroen Sonsma, director of flatex NL. The German broker Flatex has just been launched on the Dutch market. "We are setting the new standard by offering investing through a safe bank without having to pay transaction costs".

Flatex is coming to the Netherlands with a lasting offer: trading at 0 euro transaction costs and no service fee. The product range includes (worldwide) equities, bonds, funds, ETFs, turbos and CFDs. Options and futures will be added in the near future.

Pupils from the Havo 5-class economy of the Hillesum Lyceum in Deventer, sound the gong as winners of the investment competition ‘’Scholenstrijd’’.

About ‘’Scholenstijd’’

‘’Scholenstrijd’’ is an investment competition for students of HAVO and VWO. It is a serious game and aims to increase the financial and economic knowledge of pupils. Pupils and teachers can use the game for free throughout the year. Twice a year a prize is given – the best class based on return and the best class based on risk-return.

VLK 20th anniversary on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange

Twenty years ago Van Lanschot got a listing on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. To celebrate this CFO Constant Korthout sounds the gong today, together with colleagues who have been working for Van Lanschot Kempen for twenty years.

In 1999, Van Lanschot announced it would seek a listing on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange in order to improve its access to the capital markets and boost brand awareness. Gong for winner CBS-ConjuctuurBekerStrijd 2019

VWO-students of the Montaigne Lyceum have won the annual national Economics contest, the CBS-ConjunctuurBekerstrijd for 2019. As a result of this Bram Boers is going to strike the gong to open the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.

CBS ConjuctuurBekerStrijd:

In order to promote the use of statistics in secondary education, CBS has created the business cycle BekerStrijd. This is a competition in which pupils from the secondary school and VWO with economics in their profile predict the development of the Dutch economy.

The Montaigne Lyceum

The Montaigne Lyceum houses several courses: Gymnasium, VWO, Havo, secondary school and secondary education. They say the fact that pupils with different talents go together to the same school, is an important social endeavor.

’De Zonnebloem’’ thanks Royal Lemkes and ALDI

Marc Damen, Director of the National Association De Zonnebloem, would like to thank Royal Lemkes and ALDI for their successful sunflower campaign ‘Sunsation Sunflower’, which saw one Euro from every sunflower sold, being donated to De Zonnebloem.

This year, National Association De Zonnebloem celebrates its 70-year anniversary and growers' association Sunsation Sunflower has developed a special potted sunflower in honour of this occasion. Royal Lemkes and ALDI have successfully taken this promotion on board and have sold the potted sunflower in all 500 ALDI stores across the Netherlands. This resulted in a fantastic donation of € 50,000 going to National Association De Zonnebloem.

Listing day for Fastned on Euronext Amsterdam

Fastned, today received a listing on Euronext Amsterdam. On this occasion, founder and CEO Michiel Langezaal, sounds the gong.

Start Amsterdam Impuls on MAEX

Besides the financial Amsterdam Exchange Index, the city has ánother Index: the Social Exchange Index, the MAEX Amsterdam. On June 20th, Deputy Mayor Rutger Groot Wassink will open the AEX trading day on the occasion of the start of the Amsterdam Impuls on MAEX.

After the gongceremony the Amsterdam Impuls will start too. This Impuls is a dedicated fund in which the City of Amsterdam and several Amsterdam funds have donated with the goal to reinforce social initiatives in the city.

MAEX Amsterdam is the transaction platform for social impact in Amsterdam. Social initiatives in Amsterdam can register for free and create a profile by which they will be able to show their social impact, what their needs are, who their partners are, and what they have to offer to Amsterdam. Celebration of 5 years Euronext IPO

Euronext, the pan-European market place, today celebrates its first five years as a listed company. To mark the occasion, Maurice van Tilburg, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam, today sounded the gong.

Since its IPO in June 2014, Euronext has become the largest trading platform in Europe, with markets in Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon and London, and Oslo to be added soon.

Euronext’s share price has more than tripled in those five years.
