Role Summary

Euronext Clearing is Euronext's multi-asset clearing house. It is the CCP of choice for Euronext’s cash, financial and commodity derivatives markets across Europe, offering a harmonised clearing framework across Euronext venues.

Euronext Clearing provides an internship opportunity within the Credit Risk Department.

Key Responsibilities

The Credit Risk Team, part of the Risk Management Department, is in charge of the credit-risk controls executed in the admission process to the Clearing and Guarantee System managed by Euronext Clearing, monitoring of Clearing Members’ creditworthiness after the admission and handling of Due Diligences conducted on Clearing Members

The Applicant will assist the Credit Risk Department with the following activities:

  • Active participation to the admissions process of new Participants to the Clearing System and membership profiles’ changes, aimed at evaluating the fulfilment of the CCP Rulebook and Credit Risk standards;
  • Monitoring the maintenance of membership requirements according to timelines established by Euronext Clearing’s Rules and Regulations;
  • Data Analysis activities for the provision of figures and data regarding CCP membership structure;
  • Review of Due Diligence questionnaires, in line with international best practices;

The Listing Sales department

The Listing Sales department maintains relationships with all firms listed on Borsa Italiana and those contemplating an Initial Public Offering (IPO). Our direct mission is to promote the utilization of financial markets through initiatives such as pre-IPO education workshops, post listing seminars for currently listed companies and selected events with the Italian ECM ecosystem to enhance the environment for capital market access.

Key Responsibilities

As an intern in the Listing Sales team, you will support the Head of Listing and account managers to identify and pitch target companies for a listing and support accounting activities. This could involve working directly with listed and private companies.

Within the Listing Sales team, you will report to the Head of Large Caps and Investment Vehicles and you will support other sales team members as well. Your responsibilities will be:

  • Origination of Large Caps companies and Investment Vehicles suitable for a listing
  • Monitor of prospect companies on the press / info providers news-flow
  • Conducting economic, sector, market and company-specific research
  • Supporting in preparation of sales pitch and briefing
  • Update of relevant databases/CRM
  • Support in accounting activities with Large Caps and Investment Vehicles

The resource will also support the "Sustainable Finance Partnership". This is a Partnership launched by the Euronext Group in order to aggregate leading operators of the Italian financial community who share the mission of developing sustainable capital markets for Italy. The intern will take part in an interdisciplinary and transversal project between various teams of the Euronext Group:

  • Support the team in maintaining relations with Partners, participating in calls, preparing the necessary meeting notes and follow-ups.
  • Support in the implementation of visibility activities with Partners such as the Euronext Sustainability Week, drafting of a quarterly newsletter, organization of events, organization of interviews.
  • Support for the development of the Partnership's medium-term strategy

Within the Risk & Compliance department, a team of more than 40 talented professionals in Risk, Business Continuity Management, Internal Control and Compliance, spread across our various geographies, is ensuring to preserve the value assets and reputation of the company. Identifying and assessing risks, implementing mitigation actions, informing and raising staff and business awareness, monitoring and ensuring compliance with the appropriate regulations are the core activities embedded in our team.

In this department, Operational Risk & Business Continuity Management (BCM) team is covering the second line of defense function on Risk for IT, Cybersecurity, Human Resources, Procurement and other transversal departments, as well as maintaining the appropriate ICT Risk Management and digital Operational Resilience maturity in the group. The stakeholders are located in all Euronext entities (Paris, Porto, Milan, Oslo, New York, Dublin, Copenhagen…).

Working as IT & Cyber Risk officer, the successful candidate will be engaged in all areas of the business part of Euronext group and will mainly focus in IT and Cybersecurity resilience across the Group.

He/She will support the Risk team in the monitoring and deployment of the ICT Risk Management Framework as well as the Digital Operational Resilience Strategy (DORS - in line with DORA regulation). The candidate  will work closely with Euronext Risk Management community, and IT and Cybersecurity teams to insure good level of ICT risk management toward the organisation and its entities.

Key Accountabilities

ICT Risk Management

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, assess, and monitor ICT risks, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory frameworks (e.g., DORA, ISO 27001).
  • Assist in conducting ICT asset risk assessments, including the evaluation of criticality, exposure, and dependency risks.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of ICT risk registers and dashboards, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of ICT risk mitigation strategies and action plans.

Education and Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of higher education in IT, cybersecurity, or risk management, or equivalent experience.

  • Familiarity with standards and best practices such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS
