Snowflake Computing Netherlands B.V. rang the bell this morning to open a new day of trading at Euronext Amsterdam, marking a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two companies.
Euronext recently became a client of Snowflake in order to build its data products on Snowflake's AI Data Cloud. This ceremony coincides with Euronext making its comprehensive market data available via Snowflake Marketplace, enabling customers to directly and securely access and integrate its data through the easy, connected and trusted platform.
Mathijs Verdam, Account Executive at Snowflake sounded the gong this morning in the presence of Daniela Melato, Head of Group Data Services at Euronext.

A new trading day was opened today by BlackRock in honour of the iShares Bitcoin ETP launch. This will allow investors in Europe to gain access to bitcoin without the complexity of directly trading and holding the cryptocurrency.
A recent survey of asset professionals conducted by BlackRock and Focal Data showed that bitcoin ETPs attract a high level of interest among professional investors, with 75% indicating interest in investing in a bitcoin ETP within the next two years.

ABN AMRO issues EU Green Bond

ABN AMRO is the first financial institution in Europe and the first issuer in the Benelux to successfully issue an EU Green Bond (EuGB).
The bond has a value of €750 million, an interest rate of 3% and a maturity of six years. The proceeds will be allocated to green buildings and renewable energy projects.

During the 19th edition of the KVK Innovation Top 100, a total of five Dutch SMEs received gold awards. Concord Neonatal was named the Netherlands' most innovative SME company thanks to their technology that helps stabilise newborn babies.

50 years ago, The Telegraph gave impetus for establishment of Options Exchange
‘Stock exchange board thinks of creating own options market’ headlined the Dutch Telegraph on 18 March 1975. In retrospect, the article turned out to be an impetus for the establishment of the European Options Exchange (EOE), the Amsterdam options market and Europe's first options exchange.
In the article, commission agent Frederick Bangert praised the success of options trading in the United States. Thanks to the publication, the creation of an options market made it onto the agenda of the Amsterdam Stock Exchange Board. this ultimately lead to the official launch of the EOE 1978.
Kamran Ullah, editor-in-chief of the Telegraph, marked this special occasion of 50 years ago with opening today's markets in the presence of the Financial Telegraph's editors. They came in first on their returns as well as risk-return.
The Scholenstrijd is organised by the BeleggerUitlegger, a non-profit organisation that prepares young people and beginners for possible investing.

Merger between Vastned Retail (NL) and Vastned Belgium
Real estate company Vastned (Vastned NV, Euronext Brussels and Euronext Amsterdam: VASTB) completed its reverse cross-border legal merger on 1 January 2025 which saw VastnedRetail N.V. merge with and into Vastned. The company continues as one combined entity whose shares have been listed on Euronext Brussels and Euronext Amsterdam as of 2 January 2025.
Vastned celebrated the introduction of its shares on Euronext Amsterdam today with a traditional Gong ceremony at the Amsterdam exchange. Sven Bosman, CEO of Vastned, struck the gong and the group was welcomed by René van Vlerken, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam
