VanEck has been a provider of innovative investment strategies since 1955. This month, it looks back at the listing of the VanEck AEX ETF and AMX ETF on Euronext 15 years ago.
To celebrate this 15-year anniversary, the gong was sounded this morning by Martijn Rozemuller, CEO of VanEck Europe. The company was welcomed by Dirk Donker, Head of Secondary Markets Benelux & Germany and Penny Somsen, Equity Sales Benelux & Germany at Euronext Amsterdam.

From 9 to 13 December 2024 is DSI's Week of Integrity. This week is dedicated to honesty, transparency, and ethical behaviour in organisations.
DSI is committed to a trustworthy financial sector. This year, Integrity in Sustainability takes centre stage, with a focus on the important role of integrity in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Laure Jacquier, Director at ICC Netherlands, sounded the Gong this morning in celebration of the week. The group was welcomed by Henry van Glabbeek, Board Secretary at Euronext Amsterdam.

De Aandeelhouder Academy Options course

This past November marked the start of the first edition of the options course, ‘De Aandeelhouder Academy.’ This online programme, led by former options trader Vincent Vis, teaches participants everything about the options market over the course of three months, while also integrating options into their own investment strategies.
Euronext Amsterdam, the birthplace of Europe’s first options exchange, and broker Lynx proudly support this educational initiative. To celebrate the launch, the traditional gong ceremony took place this morning at Beursplein 5, where Dirk Donker, Head of Secondary Markets Benelux & Germany, welcomed the founders of De Aandeelhouder Academy.

Regulatory bodies
Euronext Amsterdam is governed by the Act on Financial Supervision of 28 September 2006. Operation of a regulated market in the Netherlands is subject to prior licence. This licence is granted to Euronext by the Dutch Minister of Finance. The AFM (Autoriteit Financiële Markten) and the Dutch National Bank act as the regulatory authority for members of Euronext Amsterdam.

A single Euronext Rule Book governs trading on all Euronext Securities and Derivatives Markets. It contains both harmonised and non-harmonised, or local, rules.
