ELITE  –  Business Data Analytics & Insights Manager

The resource – within the Strategy and Business Development division - will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization to extract actionable insights from complex datasets, supporting strategic initiatives, and enhancing business performance, both for internal scope (i.e. analysis, reporting, new members onboarding and information) and for business development insights (i.e. clients’ needs mapping, data strategy evolution, new technologies implementation, data-driven upselling/cross selling opportunities).

The Business Data Analytics & Insights Manager will work in coordination with the other ELITE’s business divisions including product, sales and marketing to continuously evolve the data strategy based on internal and external needs.

Responsibilities will involve data operations and manipulation tasks including cleaning and integration. The resource will utilize tools such as Excel and query languages to transform and enrich data through data mapping techniques. Missions will also include the scouting and adoption of solutions, provided within the Euronext Group or third-parties, to enhance the ability of ELITE to analyse and visualize data and insights (e.g. creation and design of dashboards, integration of AI-driven solutions, etc…).

Key Responsibilities

  • Data management: analysis, quality assurance, integration of data collected from the community to produce solid data sets usable for internal and external analysis, visualization and future machine learning operations. Valorization and integration of unstructured data, classification and extraction of relevant information from different data sources. Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing best practices in data management and governance.
  • Data Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive data analytics strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement. Provide actionable insights based on data, also through the use and implementation of new technologies or tools/CRM.

Candidate Profile/ Key Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages, including Excel Power Queries, R, and Python)  and data visualization tools like Power BI.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proven experience (at least 3y) in data management, analytics, insight development. Experience in a role to support  business development or sales is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge and continuous orientation to maintain a deep understanding of new technologies and data-related tools and strategies (i.e. artificial intelligence, data computing, machine learning).

Role Summary

Euronext Clearing is Euronext's multi-asset clearing house. It is the CCP of choice for Euronext’s cash, financial and commodity derivatives markets across Europe, offering a harmonised clearing framework across Euronext venues.

Euronext Clearing offers clearing services for cash products (equities, ETFs, structured products, warrants and bonds) on Euronext’s cash markets in Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon, Milan and Paris, on Italian equity derivatives and fixed income markets, and on repos on Italian government bonds. It will soon also offer clearing for Euronext listed commodity derivatives (MATIF) and financial derivatives on Euronext Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon, Oslo and Paris. Euronext Clearing provides a job opportunity as Credit Risk Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

The Credit Risk Team, part of the Risk Management Department, is in charge of the credit-risk controls executed in the admission process to the Clearing and Guarantee System managed by Euronext Clearing, monitoring of Clearing Members’ creditworthiness after the admission and development of Due Diligence framework to properly monitor Clearing Members’ risk-driven indicators that can impact the soundness of financial markets.

The Applicant taking on Credit Risk role will be accountable for the following activities:

  • Active participation to the admissions process of new Participants to the Clearing System and membership profiles’ changes, aimed at evaluating the fulfilment of the CCP Rulebook and Credit Risk standards;
  • Monitoring the maintenance of membership requirements according to timelines established by Euronext Clearing’s Rules and Regulations;
  • Data Analysis activities for the provision of figures and data regarding CCP membership structure;
  • Enhancement of Credit-risk controls performed on CCP members;
  • Design, development and implementation of Due Diligence questionnaire, in line with international best practices;

Additionally, the abovementioned role will be also involved in the following activities:

  • Participation to Euronext Clearing transformation project from Italian CCP to pan-European CCP;
  • Enhancement of the Customer Analytics by means of the definition of dedicated KPIs and the creation of Robotic Process Automations to manage Credit Risk data archives, enhancement of the Credit Risk evaluation and clients’ account management;
  • Enhancement of the Credit Risk model in line with market practice and the new Regulatory Framework of Euronext Clearing, in cooperation with the Risk Management Department;
  • Conducting inspections and audit process on-site at Clearing Member’s premises, according to the timelines established by Euronext Clearing regulations;
  • Enhancement of the set of compliance checks (KYC – Know Your Client and Anti Financial Crime) on the customer base.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has:

The HR team within Euronext is composed by more than 40 talented HR professionals. We are looking for a VIE HR Generalist to join the HR team and supports the Euronext Derivatives & Post-Trade Business Unit.

The Human Resources team offers a complete range of people services including recruitment, induction, learning and development, compensation, employee relations, leadership, performance and talent management.

Reporting into the HRD Function, Business Partner for the Head of Derivatives & Post-Trade and Nord Pool, the VIE HR Generalist will support the expansion of the business.

You will belong and evolve within a dynamic environment, in an international matrix organization. You will be based in Euronext office with the HR Director and HRBP team and will work with teams located in several locations across Europe.

You will work in close collaboration with managers around Europe as well as HR Function (supporting businesses) and local HRBPs (supporting local managers).

Overall, the VIE HR Generalist will be a critical component of the HR team on the following aspects: 1) Active contribution of the recruitment plan expansion, 2) Onboarding processes implementation with Managers, 3) Follow-up on HR reporting, 4) Support on build/structure change management plan to support the transformation and better equip managers with leadership skills 4) Participate in transversal HR projects at Country and Corporate level.

In details, key responsibilities will include:

  • Active contribution into the Recruitment plan project in partnership with the HR Business Partner Functions of the different businesses, Hiring managers, External Recruitment agencies, as well as local HRBPs across countries. It may include job description review, CV screening, interviews, support and coordination with candidate to provide the best-in-class candidate and manager experience.
  • Ensure a follow up on onboarding process & update the HR system: offer, background check, contract, up to full Euronext onboarding program implementation (training, buddy program …).

  • Provide support to structure and implement a pragmatic change management plan to strengthen communication around the transformation happening in the business line, to develop collaborative mindset throughout businesses and countries, better equip managers on leadership skills as courage, cross-cultural management and workload management.
  • Participate in transversal HR projects at Country and Corporate level depending on the Euronext People strategy execution.

The job holder will be part of the Operations Team and have cross-functional responsibilities for Client Services function, working closely with several other departments – including Sales, Liquidity Management, Legal and IT.

Key Accountabilities

Operational Support

  • Monitor credit alerts for shortages, escalate to prime brokers and banks for credit increases.

  • Monitor currency and precious metals positions on CCP portals and escalate discrepancies.

  • Provide Sales team with Salesforce support for onboarding, ad-hoc reports and dashboards.

  • Address billing inquiries from clients.

  • Monitor Operations, Billing and Onboarding mailboxes, address any urgent client inquiries.

  • Utilize various tools such as Qlik, Salesforce for revenue analysis and reporting.

  • Provide oversight of onboarding package provision for Sales / client.

  • Manage client documentation inventory.

Client Services Support function may incorporate some of the following responsibilities:

  • Provide client technical support via email, phone and onsite visits.

  • Support sales department during pre-sales client engagements. Provides technical overview and detailed technical information and features of the platform.

  • Support full cycle of clients onboarding activities including support of client’s software development efforts, client configuration, testing, troubleshoots issues. Provide training/explanation of various features of the platform, assist clients with any issues during the client’s development.

  • Conduct conformance (certification) tests to assess client’s readiness for establishment of production sessions.

  • Provide full range of support for client’s trading activities. Create production sessions, investigates technical issues, provide explanation of trade details.

  • Coordinate client support activities of Sales, Liquidity Management, Operations and Development when needed.

  • Evaluate client’s requests and formulates technical requirements for development and understand client’s trading patterns.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Educated to degree level in either a financial, business or other related discipline

  • 3-5 years relevant experience in financial markets working within Financial Services (FX industry preferred).

  • Good understanding of trading workflow and market connectivity principles.

  • Strong self-starter, highly motivated with ability to take ownership of projects/tasks and focus on results.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively and adapt communication style to suit diverse audiences – both internally (other departments) and externally (clients, prime brokers).

  • Flexibility with work schedule and able to function in both remote and office environments.

  • Ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner with a highly collaborative approach in order to influence key stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of FIX protocol, SQL, Unix/Linux operating systems is a plus, as well as coding/scripting – e.g. Python, Perl, ksh, C/C++.

  • Outstanding Excel skills are required, and attention to detail.

  • Contributes to the development and implementation of the new Corporate Actions platform.
