EURONEXT CLEARING - MARKET RISK ANALYST INTERNSHIP

CC&G, the Italian-based provider of risk management, open access clearing and CCP services to a number of national and international markets, provides an internship opportunity in the Risk Management team.

Key Responsibilities

The selected resource will:

  • Performs ongoing monitoring and analysis of risk, identifying areas of risk exposures and escalating changes as appropriate

Finance department

Euronext’s Finance department is key for the success of the group. Being very close to all business lines, it oversees several core activities such as keeping the books of the company, producing the budget and forecast, as well as all financial indicators necessary for the effective management of the company. Finance covers Accounting, Treasury & Tax, Financial Planning and Analysis, Procurement, Investors Relations and M&A.

Euronext Procurement is covering the  the full set of IT/Financial institutions purchasing categories, each of them with their own challenges & stakes (contractors, market data, software, hardware,…), and is at the cornerstone of the implementation of all the new regulatory frameworks (ESMA, DORA, …).

Euronext’s Finance department is entering a new transformation phase, based on organic growth and ESG related topics, where Finance & Procurement needs to be transitioned and taken to the next level.

Job Profile

The Senior Treasury Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and developing the treasury team within Euronext, in a unique pan-european environment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. As manager of existing treasury team, consisting of Back, Middle and Front officers, he/she will ensure high quality of the Group treasury function.  Additionally, this role involves reviewing and transforming the Treasury operating model, policies, systems, and processes in alignment with the Group Finance Transformation program.

The Senior Treasury Manager will report to the Group Finance Director in addition he/she will ensure regular reporting to senior management on cash balances, forecasts, exposures, investments, and liquidity. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving the treasury function forward.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and develop the treasury team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Review and transform Euronext Treasury operating model, policies, systems and processes alongside our Group Finance Transformation program.

  • Report regularly to Finance senior management on cash balances, forecast, exposures, investments and liquidity, developing advanced tools and solutions to improve and transform Treasury function.

  • Enhance the front office function in providing second pair of eyes in overseeing cash management, investment strategies, and financial risk management and associated accounting.

  • Responsible of monitoring regulatory capital and liquidity requirements and controls on regulated entities.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in corporate treasury within an international environment.

  • Strong understanding of financial markets and treasury operations.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Proven experience in leadership, people and team management abilities.

About the Team:

To support its mission of ensuring a secure and resilient financial ecosystem, Euronext has a dedicated Risk & Compliance department composed of more than 40 talented professionals across multiple geographies. You will primarily be responsible for: ​

Internal Control Activities

  • Assisting in the definition and implementation of the 2nd Line annual internal control plan.
  • Supporting the first Line of Defense teams in strengthening or implementing controls.
  • Monitoring the execution of first Line of Defense controls.
  • Following up on action plans to ensure compliance to standards (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001) and regulations (DORA, NIS2), and continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to risk management and internal control integration efforts.

Process Documentation & Training

  • Writing guides, procedures, and other documentation related to the internal control framework.
  • Training users and stakeholders on internal control processes.

Technical Skills

Role Summary

Euronext Clearing is Euronext's multi-asset clearing house. It is the CCP of choice for Euronext’s cash, financial and commodity derivatives markets across Europe, offering a harmonised clearing framework across Euronext venues.

Key Responsibilities

The Listing Sales department

The Listing Sales department maintains relationships with all firms listed on Borsa Italiana and those contemplating an Initial Public Offering (IPO). Our direct mission is to promote the utilization of financial markets through initiatives such as pre-IPO education workshops, post listing seminars for currently listed companies and selected events with the Italian ECM ecosystem to enhance the environment for capital market access.

Key Responsibilities

As an intern in the Listing Sales team, you will support the Head of Listing and account managers to identify and pitch target companies for a listing and support accounting activities. This could involve working directly with listed and private companies.

Within the Listing Sales team, you will report to the Head of Large Caps and Investment Vehicles and you will support other sales team members as well. Your responsibilities will be:

  • Origination of Large Caps companies and Investment Vehicles suitable for a listing
  • Monitor of prospect companies on the press / info providers news-flow
  • Conducting economic, sector, market and company-specific research
