Bart Oldenkamp, academic director of the Certified Pension Executive program at the Erasmus School of Accounting & Assurance (ESAA), sounds the gong. He does this for 44 participants who successfully finished their program, with 17 participants of a recently started program aimed at investment management.
Both ESAA programs are suited for board members as well as professionals within the pensions sector, who want to extend their pensions knowledge from a multi-disciplinary scientific perspective. On July the 3rd, the first class of participants graduated from the new Certified Pension Executive Investment Management program. With this program, participants will be better suited to offer countervailing power to investment professionals within the pensions sector.
The Erasmus School of Accounting & Assurance (ESAA) is a cooperation between the Erasmus School of Economics (ESE) and the Erasmus University Rotterdam Accounting, Auditing & Controlling (Eurac) BV. As a result of this cooperation, all education and research in the areas of Accounting & Assurance are organized under the same umbrella, including post-master and post-initial programs, executive programs, masterclasses as well as continuing education.

‘’Scholenstrijd’’ is an investment competition for students of HAVO and VWO. It is a serious game and aims to increase the financial and economic knowledge of pupils. Pupils and teachers can use the game for free throughout the year. Twice a year a prize is given – the best class based on return and the best class based on risk-return.

VLK 20th anniversary on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange
Twenty years ago Van Lanschot got a listing on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. To celebrate this CFO Constant Korthout sounds the gong today, together with colleagues who have been working for Van Lanschot Kempen for twenty years.

In order to promote the use of statistics in secondary education, CBS has created the business cycle BekerStrijd. This is a competition in which pupils from the secondary school and VWO with economics in their profile predict the development of the Dutch economy.

The Montaigne Lyceum houses several courses: Gymnasium, VWO, Havo, secondary school and secondary education. They say the fact that pupils with different talents go together to the same school, is an important social endeavor.

This year, National Association De Zonnebloem celebrates its 70-year anniversary and growers' association Sunsation Sunflower has developed a special potted sunflower in honour of this occasion. Royal Lemkes and ALDI have successfully taken this promotion on board and have sold the potted sunflower in all 500 ALDI stores across the Netherlands. This resulted in a fantastic donation of € 50,000 going to National Association De Zonnebloem.

Celebration of 5 years Euronext IPO
Euronext, the pan-European market place, today celebrates its first five years as a listed company. To mark the occasion, Maurice van Tilburg, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam, today sounded the gong.
Since its IPO in June 2014, Euronext has become the largest trading platform in Europe, with markets in Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon and London, and Oslo to be added soon.
Euronext’s share price has more than tripled in those five years.
