The Primary Markets department covering Equity, Debt and Funds securities is notably in charge of the business relationship with listed companies and those considering an IPO on Euronext markets. Key accontabilities

  • Within the Primary Markets department, the Business Development team is the focal point for business intelligence and projects for all Euronext listing venues.

  • Your missions will include stock market analysis, capital market research (ECM) and competitive benchmarking. Taking part in the team's effort, you will also help bolster the team's research capacities by contributing to know-how and content on specific sectors and/or topics related to equity and debt capital markets.

  • As part of this European team, you will be involved in the launch and development of new services and initiatives for listed companies, such as the creation of new partnerships or the annual preparation of our pre-IPO programmes (IPOready).

  • You will also participate in the production of quarterly group reports on business performance for senior management team.

  • You will more generally support the Business Development team in projects deemed strategic to deliver on the Primary Markets business unit's strategic ambitions.

Profile

Final or penultimate year student from a Tier 1 university, business or engineering school, with strong academic credentials.

Listing

Within Euronext, the Listing Department is in charge of the relationship with listed companies and those contemplating an IPO. Our mission is to promote financial markets and explain to business leaders the benefits of listing and how to better use financial markets once public. In addition, we are supporting a dynamic through creating and promoting new services and financing instruments, developing the investors’ axis, bringing together the ecosystem and lobbying towards European public authorities.

Role

The intern is part of the Listing Admissions team operating on different locations (Amsterdam, Dublin, Paris and Oslo) and in different markets The intern, under the responsibility of the Admission Managers, will be located in Paris.

The intern will handle the admission process of IPOs mainly in the market place where he/she is located but also in all Euronext markets (in collaboration with the rest of the team). The intern will have the mission of assessing companies applying for an initial admission of equity securities on a Euronext market through the review of the documentation drafted in this context as well as presenting a recommendation to the Euronext Listing Board, in charge of accepting/refusing admission projects on Euronext markets. Finally, the intern will be in charge of liaising and collaborating with local regulators and other intermediaries

Key accoutabilities

 The Listing Admission Officer main tasks will be to:

  • Take part in kick-off meetings with the management (C-level) of the prospects and their advisors applying for an initial admission on Euronext markets,

  • Assess companies applying for an initial admission of equity securities on a Euronext market based on the following criteria (non-exhaustive list): legal, compliance, business model, strategy, shareholder structure, management, purpose of the transaction, financial situation, etc.

  • Review of the documentation drafted in the context of the admission on Euronext markets (e.g. Information document, Prospectus, etc.),

  • Prepare a recommendation memorandum to the Listing Committee/Euronext Listing Board in charge of accepting/refusing admission projects on Euronext markets,

  • Inform, guide and assist companies that are considering an admission on Euronext markets;

  • Assess companies applying for an accreditation as Listing Sponsor;

  • Contribute to the improvement of the listing process across all Euronext locations, simplification and harmonization of the Euronext market rules. 

 

The intern will be managed by the Listing Execution Managers and will work in close collaboration with the rest of the Listing team (located in different places) and will share any relevant information with colleagues, both nationally and internationally.

The Euronext Commodities team is responsible for developing new hedging and investment derivatives in the agricultural sector and beyond. We are a small, multicultural team based across the group locations in Amsterdam, Paris, and London.

The Internal Audit team supports Euronext in achieving its objectives by providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services to help management evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

Euronext operates seven national regulated securities and derivatives markets in Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon, Milan, Oslo and Paris, a regulated derivatives market in Bergen, a leading fixed-income trading platform, MTS, as well as four central securities depositories (CSDs), a clearing house and services across Europe.

The Euronext Internal Audit Team is composed of 15 auditors located across Europe. The internal Audit function is pursuing its substantial transformation in order to adapt to the recent growth of Euronext. The group is strengthening its audit function by building a strong audit community as part of the matrix organization of the Euronext federal model. Internal Auditors are working both locally and across the geographical locations where Euronext is established. They are covering all group entities including Markets, CSDs and the Clearing House, as well as other group entities and support functions such as IT, Compliance and Risk.

We are looking for an IT Internal Auditor to join our Porto offices.

Key Accountabilities

As an IT Internal Auditor you will:

  • Contribute to the delivery of the internal audit plan for the IT scope. The IT Auditor conducts reviews of various IT systems and business processes to ensure compliance with group policies, laws and regulations and international standards of good practices. Through assignments and continuous monitoring activities, the IT Auditor evaluates governance processes and the effectiveness of the organization’s risk management and internal control processes. This includes:
  • following a risk based approach and in conjunction with the Chief Audit Executive, developing and executing IT audit programs and testing procedures;
  • identifying discrepancies and providing recommendations for risk reduction and process improvements;
  • preparing and guaranteeing the quality of the formal Audit reports for distribution to management and the Audit Committee;
  • Contributing to Internal Audit's recommendation follow-up process and liaising with management on progress in implementing improvement and development items;
  • Supporting the annual risk assessment process and planning process of IT Internal Audit;
  • Ensuring that audit activities follow applicable standards and are documented in line with defined methodologies in the organisation's internal audit tool;
  • Contributing to Internal Audit's reporting and communication activities to relevant stakeholders;
  • Supporting continuous improvement efforts within the internal audit team and ad-hoc projects established to improve the capacities of the team.

This position is open for both candidates with previous internal or external audit experience as well as junior IT professionals willing to pursue a career in internal audit. In addition to the accountabilities described above, Senior profiles will also be expected to lead assignments and  manage and coach junior staff.

  • Understanding of IT systems, including networks, databases, operating systems, and application controls.

  • Knowledge of relevant standards including COBIT, NIST, ITIL and ISO 27001 & 27002.
