Euronext

Stéphane Boujnah is CEO and Chairman of the Managing Board of Euronext, the pan-European market infrastructure operating regulated markets in Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon, Milan, Oslo and Paris. Euronext also operates post-trade infrastructures in Copenhagen, Milan, Oslo and Porto, as well as a pan-European electricity trading platform, Nord Pool, and a FX trading platform operating from New York London and Singapore. In addition, Euronext operates commercial and technology platforms in Bergen, Berlin, Espoo, Helsinki, London, Madrid, Munich, Rotterdam, Stockholm, Tallinn and Vilnius.
 
Stéphane Boujnah became CEO of Euronext in November 2015 when the company had revenues below EUR 500m and a market capitalisation below EUR 2bn. As of October 2024, Euronext generates revenues close to EUR 1.5bn and has a market capitalisation of around €10bn. Stéphane Boujnah led the acquisitions of the Irish Stock Exchange in 2018, Oslo Børs in 2019, VP Securities in Copenhagen and Nord Pool in Oslo in 2020, and Borsa Italiana Group in 2021.
 
Before joining Euronext, from 2010 to 2015, Stéphane Boujnah was part of the team in charge of developing the Banco Santander business across Europe. First, he was Head of Santander Global Banking and Markets for France and Benelux where he developed significantly the advisory business. He was then appointed Head of Santander Global Banking and Markets for Continental Europe.
 
From 2005 to 2010, he was Managing Director at Deutsche Bank responsible for the development of the investment banking operations in France.
 
Previously he founded and developed KM5 Capital, an advisory company specialised in equity raising and M&A advice for venture capital funds and innovative technology companies.
 
From 2000 to 2002, he was Director of the European M&A team of Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group in Palo Alto (California) and London.
 
From 1997 to 1999, Stéphane Boujnah was adviser to the French Minister for Economy, Finance and Industry, Dominique Strauss-Kahn. He was responsible for innovation policies, privatisations in the technology sector, international investments projects in France and the development of the New Economy.
 
He started his career in 1991 as a business lawyer at Freshfields, focusing on M&A, privatisations and international investments in Eastern Europe and Cuba.
 
He graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris. Stéphane Boujnah holds a Master degree and a DEA in Law from La Sorbonne Paris, a LLM in Law from the University of Kent in Canterbury and a MBA from Insead.
 
Stéphane Boujnah was a member of the Commission pour la Libération de la Croissance Française established by President Nicolas Sarkozy in 2007. He is founder and Vice-President of the French think tank En Temps Réel, where he published “L’inoxydable modèle suédois” in 2003, a book on the Swedish government and economic model. He is President of the Board of directors of Accentus and Insula Orchestra. He is Vice-President of the Board of Prométhée Education, a non-profit organisation focusing on the support to underprivileged teenagers to boost ambition, access to higher education and preparation to life changing job opportunities.
 
In 2008, he was made Knight in the Order of the Polar Star by the King of Sweden. In 2013, he was made Chevalier in the Order of the Legion d'Honneur by President François Hollande.

Eric Lombard is the French Minister of the Economy, Finance, Industrial and Digital Sovereignty.
 
A graduate of HEC, he began his career in public service in 1989 as a technical advisor in the cabinet of the government spokesperson, then of the Minister for Justice, and finally of the Minister of Economy and Finance until 1993. He then served as Chairman and CEO of BNP Paribas-Cardif in 2006 and joined the BNP Paribas Executive Committee in 2011. He was appointed CEO of Generali France until 2017, before being named Director General of the Caisse des Dépôts until his appointment as Minister in December 2024.
 
He has been a member and chairman of numerous public and semi-public boards.
He is the author of Au cœur de la finance utile (2022).

Sébastien is a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, based in Paris. He leads the McKinsey Global Wealth and Asset Management practice as well as the McKinsey new capabilities and innovation centers in Europe. In the past, he led for 8 years the Financial Institutions Practice in France.
Over the course of his career, Sébastien has been serving Financial Institutions (Banks, Insurers, Payment providers, Fintechs, Family-Offices) and Private Capital operators in Europe, North America and Asia on a wide range of topics (strategy, organic/external growth, merger management, marketing and sales, digital transformation, strategic workforce planning and reskilling, investment priorities, risks management).
Sébastien also serves in several boards for non-profit organizations.
Sébastien spent part of his career in the McKinsey New-York and Singapore offices. He owns a MSc of Physics and Mathematics from CentraleSupelec (Paris, France).

A graduate of the Paris Institut d’Études Politiques and the Ecole Nationale d’Administration,
as well as an alumnus of the Master in Politics at New York University, Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani has served as a senior civil servant for more than 20 years. She began her career in
1993 at the French Treasury as Deputy to the Secretary General of the Club de Paris and later
Deputy to the Head of the Energy, Mines and Telecoms Office of the State Investments
Department.
In 1997, she joined the French Permanent Representation to the European Union in Brussels
as Financial Attaché in charge of competition, state aid and financial services.
Three years later, she joined the cabinet of the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industry
as a technical advisor in charge of European Affairs. From 2000 to 2007, she worked at the
Treasury, first as Head of the Office of Credit Institutions and Investment Firms and Secretary
General of the National Euro Committee, in the Financial Sector Department. She was later
appointed Deputy Director of Banks and General Interest Financing.
In 2007, Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani became Deputy CEO of the National Federation of the
Crédit Agricole. In 2010, she joined the Office of the Prime Minister as Deputy Chief of Staff.
From 2012 to 2014, she was an Inspector General of Finance and from 2014 to 2019, became
Chief Executive Officer of the French Banking Federation and the Association of French Banks.
In 2019, she was appointed General Secretary of the Ministry of the Economy and Finance,
where she also served as Senior Defence and Security Official.
On 26th October 2022, Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani was appointed Chair of the Autorité des
Marchés Financiers.
Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani chairs the Investor Protection Standing Committee (IPSC) of the
European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), and co-chairs, with Nikhil Rathi, CEO of
the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Financial Stability Engagement Group (FSEG) of
the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).
Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani is Chevalier of the Légion d’Honneur and Officier of the Ordre
National du Mérite.

Federico Cornelli is currently serving as Commissioner at CONSOB, the Italian Securities and Exchange Commission. He holds a degree in Economics from Bocconi University, where he graduated summa cum laude, and a PhD in Finance from the University of Parma. Federico’s extensive career spans several prestigious roles. Since 2023, he has been a member of the European Systemic Risk Board, the Committee of European Auditing Oversight Bodies, and the OECD Committee on Financial Markets. He also contributes to the Italian Ministry fo Finance for the review of the Testo Unico della Finanza and serves as a professor at the University of Parma. His previous experience includes serving as the Central Director of the Italian Banking Association (ABI) and the Chief Operating Officer of the Italian Cooperative Banking Network, chief financial analyst at BNL and banker at Arab Banking and head of financial surveillance at Consob. Federico has also held board positions with the European Association of Cooperative Banks, ABI and Banca Sviluppo. Fluent in multiple languages, Federico has authored over 100 publications on banking, financial markets, and macroeconomic issues. His contributions to the field have been recognised with numerous awards, including the Officer of the Republic of Italy, the Knight of the Republic of Italy, a Leadership Programme with the US Dept. Of State, Paul Harris Fellow and others.

Mohamed Kallala started his career in 1993 as an ALM trader for BNP Paribas before being appointed Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at Crédit Agricole Indosuez in 1995. In 2000, he founded Global Equities Corporate Finance.
 
In 2005, he joined Natixis and became Head of Real Estate Specialist Advisory. In 2010, Mohamed was appointed Head of Real Estate Finance before becoming Global Head of Investment Banking in 2016. In early 2020, Mohamed Kallala became Global Head of Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking’s Global Markets activity, before becoming its Global Co-Head later the same year. In 2023, he was appointed Global Head of Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking businesses.
 
In January 2025, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Natixis, in charge of Corporate & Investment Banking.

Jean Lemierre has a long and recognised career in international finance.
In the 1980s he held various posts within the French Tax Administration, including Head of Tax
Legislation and Director General of Taxes.
In May 1995, he was appointed Chief of Cabinet of the French Ministry of Economy and
Finances and become Head of Treasury in October later that year.
Before being appointed at the helm of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development
in 2000, he was a member of the European Monetary Committee (1995-1998), President of the
European Economic and Financial Committee (1999-2000) and Chairman of the Paris Club
(1999-2000). He served as President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development until 2008.
En 2009, Jean Lemierre became a member of the International Advisory Council of the China
Investment Corporation (CIC) and the International Advisory Council of the China Development
Bank (CDB). He is member of the International Advisory Panel (IAP) for the Monetary Authority
of Singapore (MAS).
He was Senior Advisor to the Chairman of BNP Paribas between 1 September 2008 and 30
November 2014. On 1 December 2014, Jean Lemierre became Chairman of BNP Paribas.
He is also Chairman of the main French institute for research into international economics
(CEPII), a member of the Institute of International Finance (IIF) and in May 2016, he was
elected Member of the Board of Directors of TOTAL Energies.

Delphine d’Amarzit is Euronext Paris CEO since 2021. She joined from Orange Bank where, as Deputy CEO since 2016, she was responsible for the oversight of the Operations, Finance, Risk and Compliance functions. Delphine d’Amarzit holds an extensive knowledge of European and French capital markets, notably having held senior positions within the French Treasury Department for several years with responsibilities for capital markets development, European financial regulation, and corporate financing. From 2007 to 2009, she was also in charge of financial and economic affairs at the office of the French Prime Minister where she participated in the definition of the public response to the financial crisis, rescue package and recovery plans and coordinated the action on all matters related to economic reform and financial services.
 
Delphine d’Amarzit graduated from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, holds a Master’s degree in Business law from Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne and is an alumna of the French National School of Administration (ENA).

Hinda Gharbi was appointed CEO of Bureau Veritas in June 2023. She joined the Group in May 2022, as Chief Operating Officer, before being appointed Deputy CEO in January 2023. With a degree in Electrical Engineering from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs Électriciens de Grenoble, and a Master of Science in signal processing from the Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble, in 1996 Hinda joined the Schlumberger group, a global technology leader in the energy sector. During her 26 years with the Group, Hinda held a variety of general management positions in operations for Schlumberger’s core business activities at a global and regional level. She also assumed cross‐functional responsibilities including Human Resources, Technology Development and Health, Safety and Environment. From 2017, she was a member of the Executive Committee of Schlumberger and from July 2020, she was Executive Vice President, Services and Equipment. In this role, she headed all oil services divisions and digital topics for the group.

Luis started his career in 1991 in London at Baring Securities as Head of Portuguese Sales and Research. Christophe BORIES was appointed Head of the Financial Sector Department in the French Treasury on October 15, 2023.
His department oversees all banking, insurance, funds and markets regulation, as well as the relationships with the Central Bank, the national Mint, the Public Investment Banks. It also oversees the funding of social housing programs and the support to distressed companies.
 
He has spent most of his career in the French Treasury, which he joined in 2004. During that time he has dealt with many different subjects, including banking affairs, sovereign debt management, bilateral economic relationships or international summits’ preparation.
 
He also worked three years (2008/2011) for the World Bank as an economist in the Concessional Finance & Partnership team.
 
More recently, he was the Head of the French Regional economic service for Oceania and the Pacific (based in Canberra) between 2015 and 2018, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Bilateral Economic Relations from 2018 to 2020, and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Multilateral Financial Affairs and Development from April 2020 to October 2023.

Anne-Christine Champion is Co-Head of Global Banking & Investor Solutions and a member of the Group Executive Committee, having been appointed 24 May 2023.
 
Anne-Christine Champion began her career in 2002 in the financial engineering department at Natixis where she provided advisory and arrangement services for the infrastructure sector. In 2012, she became Global Head of advisory activities and infrastructure & project financing. In 2016, Anne-Christine Champion was then appointed Global Head of the Corporate & Investment Bank’s newly created distribution (primary, secondary, direct and synthetic) and portfolio management business. In 2019, she became Global Head of Real Assets, in charge of origination in the energy, infrastructure, real estate and aviation sectors, within the Corporate & Investment Bank.
 
Anne-Christine was previously, from 2020, Co-Head of Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking and member of the Senior Management Committee of Natixis.

Verena Ross is the Chair of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). She took up the role on 1 November 2021 and is responsible for representing the Authority as well as preparing the work of and chairing its Board of Supervisors and Management Board. Between 2011 and 2021 Verena Ross served as ESMA’s first Executive Director, when she was responsible for building up the organisation and overseeing its day to day running. Prior to this, Verena held a number of senior posts in the UK's Financial Services Authority (FSA) and was a member of the FSA's Executive Committee. Verena joined the FSA in 1998 to run the Executive Chairman’s office during the regulator’s start-up phase and was briefly a seconded advisor to the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission in 2000. She held various positions in the FSA’s Markets Division and was Director of Strategy & Risk Division before becoming Director of the International Division. Verena is a German national. Following studies in Sinology and Economics in Hamburg, Taipei and London (SOAS) she began her career at the Bank of England in 1994, where she worked as an economist and banking supervisor.

Nicolas was previously Head of Advanced Data services since 2019, and joined Euronext as Chief Innovation Officer in 2016, after 6 years at the Boston Consulting Group where he worked mainly in the financial service sector. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and an engineering degree from Ecole Centrale de Paris.

Mathieu Caron is a senior executive with over 20 years of experience and is currently the Group Head of Primary Markets in Euronext, appointed to this position in November 2023, where he is responsible for 4 business lines - equity and debt listings across all Euronext’s markets, and also funds, Elite, and Corporate Services. This involves managing P&L, driving innovation in high-growth environments and delivering strategic transformational projects. He leads a team of 250+ people and is also a member of the Euronext Executive Committee.
Since joining Euronext back in 2010, Mathieu has developed extensive knowledge of capital markets and particularly in the area of primary markets given his current and previous roles including Head of Listing and Corporate Services from February 2021 – November 2023, when he was responsible for managing P&L, designing service offerings, product strategy and prioritization of commercial efforts, and also Head of Corporate Services prior to that since 2019 with responsibility for a high-growth suite of leading digital solutions and Investor Relation advisory services for listed companies. With these roles he has developed significant expertise in listing with extensive engagement with listed issuers and prospective issuers, while monitoring key developments impacting primary markets and participating in high-profile capital market events discussing priority themes of listing and CMU.
Before joining Euronext in 2010, Mathieu was working for a number of large fast-paced international companies within Finance, Solution Services, Consulting and Media (Dell, Vivendi and Accenture). He holds a Master of IGS in Paris, attended executive leadership programs at INSEAD, and is a board member of iBabs, Company Webcast and ComplyLog.

Jean-Jacques Barbéris is General Management and Executive board member at Amundi. Jean-Jacques is Deputy CEO and Head of Institutional and Corporate Clients Coverage and supervises the ESG department.
Before joining Amundi, Jean-Jacques acted as advisor for Economic and Financial affairs in the staff of the French President of the Republic, where he served from 2013-2016. Prior to this, he was a member of staff of Pierre Moscovici, French Minister of Economy and Finance.
Between 2009 and 2010, Jean-Jacques chaired the European group of experts on climate finance in the negotiations at UNFCCC. During that time, he also participated in different studies on the economics of climate change, such as Jean Tirole’s report published before the Copenhagen UNFCC conference in 2015.
Jean-Jacques started his career in the French Treasury Directorate General where he served from 2008 to 2012.

Lorenzo Bini Smaghi is Chairman of Société Générale.
He is also the Chairman of the Pecci Museum of Contemporary Art in Prato.
He is Honorary Professor at University College London’ Policy Lab and CEPR Distinguished Fellow. He is Honorary President of the Italian Alumni of the University of Chicago.
From June 2005 to December 2011 he was a Member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank.
Over the last 20 years he held several positions as Chairman of the board (Italgas, SNAM and SACE) and member of the Board (Finmeccanica, MTS, the European Investment Bank, Morgan Stanley International and Tages Holding). He was Visiting Scholar at Harvard’s Weatherhead Center for International Affairs and the first Chairman of Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, a cultural institution in Florence.
He started his career in 1983 as an Economist in the Research Department of the Banca d’Italia. He moved in 1994 to the European Monetary Institute to head the Policy Division, preparing for the creation of the ECB. In 1998 he was appointed Director General for International Affairs in the Italian Treasury.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium), a Master’s degree from the University of Southern California and a Ph.D in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Davide Iacovoni is the head of the directorate responsible for the management of public debt securities at the department of the treasury, within the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance. The directorate covers all the activities related to public debt management: front, middle and back office activities related to government securities and derivatives, communication, relations with international institutions, rating agencies and local/global investors, drafting of all the official documents related to debt management, forecasts of debt and interest payments, and relations with local authorities on topics related to the general government debt. Before his current position, he spent 13 years as the head of the domestic funding division in charge of the front and middle office of all euro denominated Italian government bonds under the domestic law within the same directorate. Before that, for two years, he was the head of the division in charge of the relations with the OECD and the coverage of emerging markets assistance programmes on public debt management issues (always within the same directorate). He joined the Ministry of Economy and Finance in 1999 as an associate in the domestic funding division. He teaches public debt management at the University of Padova and he was speaker on the same topic at several academic seminars. Davide has a PhD in economics from the University of Ancona (Italy), a MA in financial economics from the University of Louvan-la-Neuve (Belgium) and a MA in economics from the Coripe consortium in Turin. Davide received his degree in economics from University of Rome, La Sapienza. He has several publications on public debt and finance both from a macro and micro perspective.

A graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Ulm) and the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Économique (ENSAE), Dorothée ROUZET holds a doctorate in economics from Harvard University. She began her career as an economic analyst for the Danube-Balkans region at the French Treasury, assigned to the Sofia Economic Mission (2006-2007), before becoming a lecturer in macroeconomic theory and capital markets at Harvard University (2008-2011). An economist in the Trade in Services Division of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) from (2012-2017), she became senior economist in the office of Laurence BOONE, then Chief Economist of the OECD (March 2017-March 2020). In March 2020, she was appointed macroeconomic adviser in the office of Bruno LE MAIRE, Minister for the Economy and Finance. Since June 2022, Dorothée Rouzet has been Chief Economist France at Citigroup. She was also a guest lecturer at ESCP Europe (2015-2017) and the University of Paris I (2017-2018).

Angelo was born in Milan and grew up in London and Brussels before returning to Milan where he graduated in Economics from Bocconi University.
 
He worked in London for 4 years at LIFFE, before moving back to Milan where he spent 3 years working for Deutsche Bank.
 
Angelo joined MTS in early 1999 and has covered a series of positions – he initially led the projects for establishing MTS Amsterdam, MTS France, MTS Belgium and MTS Portugal, moving on to become Head of Client and Market Relations.
 
Following that, he spent a year managing CoredealMTS, an electronic corporate bond market and after the merger of CoredealMTS with EuroMTS, he moved back to EuroMTS as Head of New and Local Markets, where he was responsible for the launch of additional MTS interdealer markets in Poland, Slovenia and Israel. He also led the efforts to launch MTS Czech Republic, MTS Hungary, MTS Slovakia and MTS Cyprus, and consolidate MTS Germany, MTS Amsterdam, MTS Spain and MTS Portugal under EuroMTS Ltd.
 
He managed the launch, in partnership with the JSE, of South Africa’s interdealer electronic trading system for local Government bonds using MTS trading technology, as well as being closely involved in the preparations for MiFID II and Brexit.
 
Angelo is also a member of the boards of MTS France SAS and MTS Associated Markets SA (Belgium, Finland and Denmark).

As part of Vivendi's spin-off contribution, Christel Heydemann was appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board of CANAL+ with effect from December 9th, 2024.
 
She began her career in 1997 at Boston Consulting Group. In 1999, she joined Alcatel where she was entrusted with a range of roles and responsibilities, specifically in the context of the merger of Alcatel and Lucent.
 
In 2014, Christel Heydemann joined Schneider Electric as the Director of Strategic Alliances before being appointed as Senior Vice President Corporate Strategy & Alliances in 2016. In April 2017 she joined the Executive Committee of Schneider Electric as Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of Schneider Electric France and subsequently Executive Vice President Europe Operations in May 2021.

Camille Beudin is Member of the Executive Committee at Euronext and Head of Diversified Services. This business line includes Nord Pool, the leading power market in Europe; Euronext FX, the electronic communication network for foreign exchange and precious metal trading; the agricultural commodity franchise; the investor services business and the technology services activity; as well as future diversification projects. He was appointed in this position in 2023.
Prior to that, he was Head of Strategic Development and Mergers & Acquisitions at Euronext. Mr Beudin joined Euronext in 2016 to lead the external growth and the strategic development of Euronext. Before joining Euronext, Mr. Beudin spent 8 years in the investment banking industry working on corporate finance products such as mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets advisory and structuring of financing solutions. He was notably Vice President in the Investment Banking Division of Deutsche Bank between 2012 and 2016 and an Associate at Royal Bank of Scotland prior to that. He graduated from EDHEC Business School with a Master in Management.

She began her career at the Val-d'Oise infrastructure department of the Paris metropolitan area in 1998 as head

where she was in charge of transportation and development.
She joined Veolia in 2005 as special advisor to the CEO for waste activities, before becoming CEO of FM
activities in 2008 and of the greater Paris region for waste in 2010.
In 2012, she was appointed CEO of Veolia Environmental Services in the UK and zone director for the UK and
Ireland zone from 2013 to 2018. She joined Veolia's executive committee in 2013.
Estelle Brachlianoff became Group Chief Operating Officer and deputy CEO in September 2018. In this position,
she conducted the successful integration of Suez employees and activities, following its acquisition in 2022.
After an 18 year career in the Group, she was appointed CEO and has, since then, led the global champion of
ecological transformation on a path of acceleration and consolidation of its offer of ecological solutions.
She is a member of the Supervisory Board of Hermès International and a member of its Audit and Risk
Committee and its Compensation, Appointment, Governance and CSR Committee.

She began her career in 1997 at the Court of Auditors. She was then appointed technical advisor to the cabinet of Mr. Bernard Kouchner, Minister Delegate for Health. In 2002, she joined the French Agency for the Sanitary Safety of Health Products, then the university hospital center Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris before heading the cabinet of Mr. Martin HIRSCH, then High Commissioner for Active Solidarity against Poverty, and later High Commissioner for Youth.
 
In 2010, she was first Secretary General of the Ministries in charge of Social Affairs and then General Delegate for Employment and Vocational Training at the Ministry of Labor. She later joined the private sector in 2015 as General Manager of Public Affairs, Communication and CSR of the Danone Group.
 
In October 2018, she was called into the government of Prime Minister Edouard Philippe as Secretary of State to the Minister of Ecological Transition and Solidarity (Mr. François de RUGY then Ms. Elisabeth BORNE). In July 2020, she was appointed Minister Delegate in charge of Housing to the Minister of Ecological Transition Mrs. Barbara POMPILI in the government of Prime Minister Jean CASTEX.
By presidential decree on August 16th, 2022, Mrs. Emmanuelle WARGON has been appointed President of the French energy regulator, Commission de régulation de l'énergie (CRE) for a non-renewable six-year term.

A graduate of École Polytechnique and a Chief Engineer of France’s Corps des Mines, Mr. Pouyanné held, between 1989 and 1996, various administrative positions in the Ministry of Industry and other cabinet positions (technical advisor to the Prime Minister – Édouard Balladur – in the fields of the Environment and Industry from 1993 to 1995, Chief of staff for the Minister for Information and Aerospace Technologies – François Fillon – from 1995 to 1996). In January 1997, he joined TotalEnergies’ Exploration & Production division, first as Chief Administrative Officer in Angola, before becoming Company representative in Qatar and President of the Exploration and Production subsidiary in that country in 1999. In August 2002, he was appointed President, Finance, Economy and IT for Exploration & Production. In January 2006, he became Senior Vice President, Strategy, Business Development and R&D in Exploration & Production and was appointed a member of the Company’s Management Committee in May 2006. In March 2011, Mr. Pouyanné was appointed Deputy General Manager, Chemicals, and Deputy General Manager, Petrochemicals. In January 2012, he became President, Refining & Chemicals and a member of the Company’s Executive Committee.
On October 22, 2014, he became Chief Executive Officer of TOTAL S.A. and Chairman of the Company’s Executive Committee. On May 29, 2015, he was appointed by the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting as director for a three-year term. The Board of Directors appointed him as Chairman of the Board of Directors as of December 19, 2015. Mr. Pouyanné thus became the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Following the renewal of Mr. Pouyanné's directorship at the Shareholders' Meeting on June 1, 2018 and then on May 28, 2021 for a three-year period, the Board of Directors renewed Mr. Pouyanné's term of office as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for a period equal to that of his directorship.
Mr. Pouyanné is thus the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TotalEnergies SE.
On June 1, 2022, Mr. Pouyanné was appointed Chairman of the French association, Entreprises pour l’Environnement (EpE). Mr. Pouyanné has also been the Chairman of the Alliance pour l’Education - United Way association since June 2018, having accepted this office as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation. In addition, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of Capgemini (since May 2017), of the Board of Directors of École Polytechnique (since September 2018), of the Institut du Monde Arabe (since 2017) and of the foundation La France s’engage (since 2017). Mr. Pouyanné is an Officer of the Légion d’honneur.

A graduate of HEC with a year abroad (Brazil, NY), she started her professional career in 1981 at Bank of America in Paris and then at Banque Indosuez.
 
She joined Rothschild in 1994 to head equity capital markets which was her specialty until 2008. She became a General Partner of Rothschild in 2002 and managed ABN AMRO Rothschild in Paris from 2001 to 2008. She then became joint head of European restructuring and joint head of debt advisory in Paris from 2008 to 2011.
 
In February 2011, she joined BNP Paribas as Senior Banker for a portfolio of very large clients for whom she has since been coordinating the Bank’s global relationship. From January 2014 to end 2018, Sophie Javary has been in charge of all corporate finance activities (M&A advisory and equity capital markets) in EMEA. She has been appointed Vice-Chairman CIB EMEA in December 2018 and now focuses, as an executive sponsor, on providing strategic advice and developing overall investment banking business with major strategic corporate clients and private equity funds.
 
She is a member of the G100 (100 top executives of BNP Paribas Group).
 
Sophie Javary is a director of Société Des Lecteurs Le Monde, Portzamparc and Turenne Capital and a member of the board of directors of the very active NGO Europa Nova, which promotes the idea of Europe through a non–political agenda. She has been director of the Elior Group from 2015 to 2022, of Euroclear from 2019 to 2022 and of Adevinta from 2019 to 2024.

Maria Luís Albuquerque is currently the European Commissioner for Financial Services and the Savings and Investments Union. She is a highly experienced Portuguese economist and politician, best known for her role as Minister of Finance in Portugal from 2013 to 2015. During her tenure, she played a critical role in managing the country's financial crisis. Prior to her position as finance minister, Albuquerque held various key positions in the public sector, including Head of Issuing and Markets at the Portuguese Treasury and Debt Management Agency. After leaving politics, she continued her career in the private sector, contributing her expertise in finance and economic policy to international organizations and advisory roles. Her professional experience reflects a deep understanding of fiscal management, economic reform, and European financial systems.

François Villeroy de Galhau was born in Strasbourg on 24 February 1959 into a family with roots in Lorraine and Saarland. A former ENA student and Inspector of Finance, he joined the French Treasury in 1988 (Africa desk, then Europe desk) and subsequently became European advisor to the Minister of Finance and then Prime Minister (Pierre Bérégovoy) from 1990 to 1993. He went on to hold various positions at the French Treasury, before becoming financial advisor at the Permanent Representation of France in Brussels. From 1997 to 2000, he was chief of staff of the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industry (Dominique Strauss-Kahn, then Christian Sautter). He was head of the French General Tax Directorate from 2000 to 2003. In 2003, he became the Chief Executive Officer of Cetelem, then headed BNP Paribas’ retail banking activities in France (2008). François Villeroy de Galhau served as Chief Operating Officer of BNP Paribas group, in charge of domestic markets and corporate social responsibility from 1 December 2011 until 1 May 2015, when the French government entrusted him with an assignment on business investment financing. In September 2015, the then President of the French Republic, François Hollande, nominated him for the position of Governor of the Banque de France. After receiving the approval of the Parliament, he was appointed Governor of the Banque de France in the Council of Ministers on 30 September 2015 and took office on 1 November 2015 for a 6-year term. In October 2021, the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron proposed that he be reappointed for a second term, a decision approved by the members of Parliament and then ratified by the Council of Ministers on 27 October 2021. François Villeroy de Galhau is a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank (ECB), and Chairman of the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR). In 2022, he was also appointed Chair of the Board of Directors of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). He has notably published L'espérance d'un Européen (Odile Jacob, 2014) and Retrouver confiance en l'économie (Odile Jacob, 2021).

Last year's edition was based on discussions about “Leading the Future of Capital Markets”.

It was the moment for all participants to delve deeper into fundamental topics, such as building global industry leaders in Europe, tracing the road to a net-zero finance industry, leveraging the European capital base for a new growth cycle, shaping the future of commodities trading through ESG, building CCP resilience in Europe, and exploring the markets and macroeconomic landscape for 2024.

This event was also the opportunity to celebrate the Group's 10-year anniversary of listing on its own markets.
