We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join the Development and Design Team and this position will be based in Porto.

You will primarily be responsible for:

• Development and Design:

  • Implement the most complex components of new functionalities, focusing on performance-critical subsystems.
  • Leverage Java, Microservices, and Kafka to design scalable and efficient systems.

• System Optimization:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and refine overall trading system architecture.
  • Utilize cutting-edge technologies such as React, Cloud, Docker, and Big Data to build robust solutions.

• Documentation and Collaboration:

  • Produce clear and accurate documentation for implemented code and design specifications.
  • Contribute to projects addressing challenging and innovative functionalities in trading systems.

Your profile:

• Technical skills:

  • Proficiency in Java, Microservices, and Kafka.
  • Additional expertise in C#, Python, and Linux is advantageous.
  • Experience with modern tools such as React, Node.js, Scala, Machine Learning, Big Data, and Containers.

• Soft skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a collaborative and adaptable mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in software design and development.
