Job description

The Corporate Actions & Listing Operations team (“CACL team”), located within Euronext Market Services department, is responsible for the day-to-day handling of listing operations and corporate actions across all cash asset classes (Equities, Bonds, ETFs & Structured Products) on Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon, Oslo & Paris markets.

Member of the CACL team and reporting to the Cash Corporate Actions & Listing Operations Manager based in Paris, the Corporate Actions & Listing Operations Apprentice is responsible for the management of corporate actions and listing operations working with the entire Issuer’s ecosystem (Issuers, Advisors, CSDs, CCPs, Regulators, etc…) while also participating in the elaboration, specification and rollout of key internal initiatives launched by the CACL team.

The Corporate Actions & Listing Operations Apprentice is responsible for the below activities:

Manage corporate actions & listing operations:

  • Actively monitor and address incoming corporate actions & listing queries, enforcing best practices and applicable procedures

  • Contribute to the daily update of Euronext’s databases and trading engine by referencing listings of new securities and corporate actions events, ensuring correct setup and end-to-end consistency

  • Liaise with Issuers and/or Issuers’ representatives to collect the necessary legal & technical documentation related to a given listing operation or corporate action

  • Support & advise listed companies and their representatives in the implementation and communication of their listings or corporate actions operations on the different Euronext markets

  • Review, assess & understand legal and offer/contract documentation established in the context of listing operations or corporate actions

  • Ensure coordination with post trading partners or internal stakeholders such as Listing, Product Management, Legal or Compliance

Inform the market:

  • Draft, update and publish market announcements which contribute to the transparent, fair and orderly functioning of the market

  • Provide clients with clear, accurate and consistent information regarding instrument creations, updates and delistings by means of market announcements

  • Prepare and give presentations to internal and external stakeholders with regards to listing operations & corporate actions when relevant

  • Explain complex or sensitive information in an accurate and effective way to internal and external stakeholders regarding listing operations and corporate actions

Embrace client centricity:

  • Endorse the role of local expert towards the market community, developing relationships with listed companies, issuer representatives and other key external/internal stakeholders

  • Proactively answers external/internal queries via telephone or email in a timely manner

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with listed companies and their representatives

  • Engage with issuers' account manager in the context of complex transactions, ensuring proper level of information is shared both internally and externally

  • Act as key point of contact and ambassador for the team both internally & externally

Enforce operational excellence & resiliency:

  • Enforce resiliency, technology enhancements, monitoring, standardization and harmonization of operational processes through the launch of digitalization or automation initiatives

  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s procedures and operational processes

  • Participate to the documentation and internal control of the team’s operational processes

  • Contribute to the team's KPI monitoring and overall quality improvements

Skills & Experience

  • A first experience in the Finance sector is highly appreciated

  • Proven experience of client facing skills and ability to interact with demanding customers

  • Excellent organizational capacities

  • Strong relational skills supported by analytical and structured working style

  • Team player with a proactive approach, pragmatic, customer oriented and data-driven

  • Strong and proactive communicator able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Good understanding of Financial markets, markets structures and their evolution from a business, competition & regulatory perspective

  • Computer literacy: MS office, VBA, notions in programming is a plus

Languages

  • Proficiency in written/oral French and English is mandatory

  • Any other European language (Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, etc…) is a plus but not mandatory

Education

  • Preparation of a Master’s degree in Finance, Law, Economics, or a related field

  • Additional certifications in financial regulation or market analysis would be an advantage
