The Euronext Trading Game, powered by NextWise, is an educational challenge designed to enhance participants' understanding of trading strategies, risk management, and investment principles.

Using live market data from Euronext’s seven marketplaces, the Euronext Trading Game offers university students in Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, and Portugal a unique opportunity to explore and navigate the complexities of financial markets in a risk-free environment.

Whether participating individually or in teams, students are provided with a virtual endowment to invest, allowing them to develop and execute investment strategies. This immersive experience closely mirrors real-world investing, equipping participants with the practical tools and insights needed to confidently engage with financial markets.

This initiative aligns with Euronext’s broader commitment to promoting financial education and literacy across Europe, which is a central pillar of the Euronext Foundation. Through the Euronext Trading Game, the Group aims to:

  • Help participants understand and practice key financial concepts, such as risk management, diversification, and asset allocation.
  • Provide an opportunity for young people to start investing, with access to guidance and support.
  • Educate participants about how economic indicators and macroeconomic factors influence financial markets and investment decisions.
  • Instill an understanding of the importance of ethical and responsible investing, including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations.
  • Highlight the role that retail investors play in financial markets.

Who can participate?

The competition is open to university students from the following countries: Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, and Portugal
