Bert Douwes Award

Bert Douwes Award winner visits Beursplein 5

Kelly Berkelaar, winner of the Bert Douwes Award 2016, sounds the gong to open trading at the Amsterdam exchange of Euronext at Beursplein 5. Kelly won this thesis prize at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences with her paper on the benefits of participating in new IPOs by investors. By winning, she became the first person to win this award as a student of the part-time variant of the Minor Investing.  De Bert Douwes Award is sponsored by Euronext Amsterdam and Stichting Capital Amsterdam.

The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences’ minor programme in Investment, offers students the opportunity to spend six months studying all aspects of the financial markets and investment. The prize is named after Bert Douwes, a teacher at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and founder of the minor, who passed away in 2007.

Winners Global Investment Challenge visit Amsterdam exchange

The winners of the Global Investment Challenge visit the Amsterdam exchange of Euronext and open trading by sounding the gong. TomTom celeberates Automotive Innovation Award at Amsterdam exchange
