Pluk de Nacht festival
Sounding of the gong for Pluk de Nacht festival
After a well-attended edition in Utrecht (1-5 August), open-air festival Pluk de Nacht will once again be hosting eleven summer days at the Stenen Hoofd in Amsterdam from Wednesday 15 to 25 August. The team behind Pluk de Nacht opens the trading day.
Pluk de Nacht has been around for fifteen years, this year. During this anniversary edition, people can enjoy a program full of art, snacks and drinks from 15:00 onwards every day. In the evening they show (inter)national feature films, documentaries and animations on the big screen that were not seen in Dutch cinemas.
During the day there is a city beach and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons there is a special programming. For example, Pluk is paying tribute to the cassette tape with 'A Mix Tape Afternoon', young VJs and DJs surprise you during 'All Ears and Eyes', and the festival invites four-legged friends and their friends to 'A Dog Day Afternoon'. The Sunday afternoon is also dominated by the young festival-goer with film and activities for children from 2 to 12 years: Pluk Mini. Pluk de Nacht is freely accessible. However, if you want to be assured of a good spot, you can reserve a beach chair on the website for a small donation.
