We are looking for a Corporate Actions Trainee to join the our Business Operations Team. The position will be based in Porto and you will report to the Business Operations Readiness Manager .
Job summary
Euronext Securities Porto is developing and implementing a new Corporate Actions platform. Therefore, is looking for a Trainee that:
- Contributes to the development and implementation of the new Corporate Actions platform.
- Gives support to the tests of the new Corporate Actions platform.
- Supports the processing of Corporate Actions in production.
Key Accountabilities
As a Corporate Actions Trainee, you will:
- Learn and build the knowledge and network related to Corporate Actions, as well as the entire Post Trade workflow, in order to develop your autonomy through:
- Learning-by-doing: performing the functional tests of the new Corporate Actions platform, operational acceptance tests, client acceptance tests
- Learning market practices and specificities of the Euronext CSDs and meeting local business experts
- Supporting the processing of Corporate Actions in production
- Building the cross-CSD network for Operational Excellence of the corporate actions team
- Prepares documentation with operational procedures
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the new Corporate Actions platform through:
- Contributing to scope definition of future delivery
- Supporting client readiness during testing and migration
- Implementing efficient and effective operational processes to ensure flawless service delivery and business resilience
- Contributing to Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) definition to measure internal service delivery performance (gather and analyse data on Operational & Client acceptance)
- Identifying optimisation opportunities and implementing operational improvement measures
- Fulfilling all compliance requirements
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to build trustful collaborations
Profile and Skills
Euronext is looking at the following profile:
- Knowledge of Capital markets and applicable legislation
- Knowledge of English language (oral and written)
- Familiar with PC’s and standard office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Key skills: Responsible, Accuracy, Detail oriented, Efficient, Excellent time management and Organization skills, Interpersonal and Communication skills, Teamwork, Tasks oriented, Customer Focus
- University Degree in Management, Economics or equivalent (preferable)

Euronext Securities Porto
Euronext Securities Porto is the leading entity in Portugal in post-trade services, offering integrated and flexible solutions at European level, operating as the Custody and Settlement Central Securities Depository (CSD), belonging to the EURONEXT Group and being compliant with:
- CSD Regulation (CSDR);
- The Portuguese Legislation on Capital Markets;
- The rules of the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM).
Euronext Securities Porto uses the most stringent international service and security standards and was one of the first CSDs to join the European settlement platform TARGET2-Securities and to obtain authorization to operate as a CSD in the context of CSDR, offering a wide set of Services, namely Custody and Settlement to a broad Customer base.
Key accountabilities
• Ensure the delivery of settlement, custody, asset and fiscal services and support the management and control of the physical securities registered in Centralized Securities System and their safeguarding according to best international practices
• Support the development and implementation of more automated and digitized services at the Central Securities Depository.
• Ensure that user acceptance testing of all the IT system updates and improvements regarding physical securities services takes place.
• Develop and the execute annual custody business plans and coordinate of activities with senior management in other areas of the organization.
• Provide information to Issuers and Financial Intermediaries and represent Euronext internally and externally.
• Contribute to operoperational enhancements to streamline workflow and provide better support to frontline business units
• Drives continuous improvement of process and assess and select improvement opportunities that provide long-term value and minimize operational risks
Your profile
• In-depth knowledge of CSD Business operations
• Strong knowledge of industry market standards and business workflows in the securities services space
• Proven team leadership, communication and project management skills - ability to monitor

Borsa Italiana Spa, the company responsible for the organization and management of Italian financial markets, provides an internship opportunity in Monte Titoli, leading provider of efficient and secure financial market post-trade services, across pre-settlement, settlement, custody and asset services. The internship is within the Local and international settlement team.
Monte Titoli Settlement area is in charge of controlling and monitoring the correct functioning of the settlement activities throughout the entire chain from trading platforms and clients systems to settlement platforms including the possible interaction with the clearing systems.
It is also responsible for the relevant Settlement documentation describing the Settlement services and for the enhancements and development of the service. For this purpose there is a strong interaction with domestic and European institutions and supervising authorities.
Key Responsibilities
The resource will be involved on the following activities:
- Support the management of Settlement services
- Support operational processes
- Cooperation with business owner for testing activities
- Collaboration with Product and Project Areas for the individuation of the related technical and functional procedures implications
The ideal candidate has:
- Master’s Degree in Economics or Finance
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
