The COO Office  currently comprises 3 people, based in Paris. It overall all operational and technical activities part of Euronext. As such, the COO Office is the Head of the IT for Markets, IT for Clearing, IT for CSD, Digital, and Markets Services and IT-Transversal activities.  The Operating office is a key actor within the company as the provider of technological framework, and the gate-keeper of resiliency. It offers a multidimensional exposure part of ecosystem surrounding financial markets (issuers, French Tech companies, financial institutions, high-frequency traders, regulators) and a better understanding of the inner workings of an ambitious, growing pan-European company across functions (Sales, Strategy, M&A, HR, Marketing, Communications).

The team support the Group’s strategy, operating operational activities. As part of the Operating office, this internship is a unique opportunity to get involved in a variety of strategic initiatives with direct impact on the growth and development of the company with a focus on IT, while achieving concrete impact on the organization through processes’ enhancements, and communications. As part of the role, you will work directly with the Business Manager of the Group COO.

Key Accountabilities

COO Business Manager Assistant is part of the Corporate and Project job family gathering all transversal strategic roles which exist either in the various Euronext countries and/or in the various departments of the organization.

The successful candidate will focus particularly but not exclusively to:

  • Monitor and enhance  COO performance, and strategy by :
  • Defining and tracking KPIs aimed at improving COO departments’ performance ;
  • Contributing in process optimization that will improve overall productivity within the department, working closely with external departments (Finance, Infrastructure, Information Security, IAM, End User Services, Market Operations, etc.) ;
  • Identifying and assessing potential innovations that could be relevant for COO scope ;

  • Writing fact-based, concise presentations, presentations for internal or external meetings, liaising with relevant experts and stakeholders within the organization;

  • Supporting the organization of corporate events that are of critical importance for the organization such as the Townhall
  • Securing the preparation of monthly  reports for the key governance bodies, including reports to the Managing Board by liaising with the relevant departments and colleagues.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Final or penultimate year student from a business school, engineering school, or university with strong academic credentials ;

Euronext Finance department

The Finance department supports the Euronext organization and its management and it is accountable for the accurate financial representation of Euronext operations. It is in charge of keeping the books of the company, produces the budget and forecast as well as all financial indicators necessary for the effective management of the company. The financial information is made available internally (management reporting) and externally (annual report, quarterly communication to the analysts, ..).

We are looking for an executive assistant to support our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and our Chief Communication and Investor Relation Officer (CCIRO).

As a crucial element of support for Senior Executives in the Finance department, to ensure the management of all administrative and secretarial tasks with minimal guidance, liaising regularly with senior-level internal and external staff, the Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer is also supporting the Chief Communication and Investor Relations Officer and their respective teams.

Key accountabilities

The candidate will:

  • Manage diary, scheduling across multiple time zones and business travels and handle the organization of the meetings, extensive and complex travels with multilocation and tight schedule (especially for investor/analyst roadshows).

  • Manage day-to-day communications as the main point of contact, representing as such the CFO and CCIRO, for internal teams and external clients/stakeholders like banks, regulators, investors, analysts...
